If you like Warli Art, this Pandal is for you. If you dont know about Warli Art, this Pandal will teach you and make you love it. If you dont like Warli Art, this Pandal might change your opinion about it.
I think the last three Pandal’s had something in common which resonated a lot with me. They had simple things put together to make something really beautiful. Not jazzy colors, not some crazy disco lighting etc. Simple and clean structures.
This Pandal was in Kashi Bose Lane and the theme was Aadim: Life in its Primal Rhythm. It was a fully open Pandal and it was fully of Warli Art. The highlight was the steel cut figures that were kept all around the main Durga Idol. The Durga was itself an Ek Chala structure (means the entire set of Durga, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Ganesh & Karthik are a part of single set rather than 5 different ones).
One thing that I saw repeating so many times in the Warli art is dance, art, music etc. Just enjoyment in general. After all what else is life in its primal rhythm? Its Ananda….
All the Warli art you will see below is laser cut steel sheets. After seeing this, I went an bought a Warli art T-shirt.

We spent over 45 mins in the Pandal. And we coul have spent another whole day and still will have something new to find. Just love the amount of effort the artist has put in to make something like this. Huge inspiration.
