In Kolkata, trees are on the house, through the house, inside the house, around the house, wrapping the house all at the same time. I m not talking about a plant, I am talking about a tree. Its so common to see a tree growing from the first floor, tall enough to go to 3rd or 4th floor.
All you need to do is walk on an street and look around. The trees are the kind of tenants who have been in the house for so long that they now own the house, and have driven away the owners also. No rental agreement, no ownership agreement. When you see the house, you will know that the real current owner is the tree.

The trees on the first and second floor are overlooking the operations.Lot of effort put in to put Vivek’s & Bose’s idols on the wall. The trees are like – look up, we have been here when they were not even born. 🙂 Merely putting a board the LIC owns this place does not mean anything. The ownership status is clear. This is the zoomed out view of the building. Apart from the front facade, there is no wall. The entire area is taken over by trees.
