Pandal 9, 10, 11, 12 – Suruchi Sangha & Others

In Kolkata every street has not one but many Pandals. If you take a short stroll, you will see atleast 2-3 in an hour. That’s again if you are not stuck waiting in queues.

We wanted to go to this place called Suruchi Sangha. But on the way we saw a Pandal.

Pandal – 9 – Notice that all the gods’ hands are empty. They have nothing to offer. 😄😄 Also, the lion’s hands are still in the making.

We later reached Suruchi Sangha. This Pandal was dedicated to Syama Prasad Mookerjee. It is his 125th birth anniversary year. The theme of the Pandal can be anything and everything. It could also be a person.

The entire Pandal had the life history of Syama Prasad Mookerjee. It also had the white Durga with Horse faced lion.

On the way to the next Pandal we saw two more Pandals. No theme. Just Pandals.

Don’t know the intent of this structure. But something.
Again Pandal made with just grass and eco friendly materials.
Syama Prasad Mookerjee’s life story
White Durga, calm Durga
Again horse faced lion.

Pandal – 11- Another Pandal on the way. Again gods with empty hands having nothing to offer.
Pandal – 12 – It feels like Durga’s lion is also crushed along with Mahisasura’s buffalo.
