A friend’s wedding in Siliguri became a convenient reason for a bunch of us to visit Sikkim. Basically, we turned a wedding into a short holiday.
Last night, I slept at 2 am and woke up at 3. Honestly, that one hour hardly counts as sleep—it felt more like closing my eyes briefly and opening them again. At the airport lounge, we ate everything on the menu and stuffed ourselves. How else to make most of the free lounge access given my credit card companies.
Somehow this time my mind is just not in holiday mood. There is constant thought about work and other stuff at Bangalore. I feel bad to leave my kids and go on the trip. I feel staying in Bangalore is better.
The Indigo flights is not sleeping friendly. The seats are 75% the size or a regular seat and ur legs have no room to move. Add to it the pressure difference deafening your ears. Good luck with ur sleep. Or is it because I have gotten too fat?
If anyone has visited Sikkim there are three constants in their trip.
- It’s very beautiful
- Lot of travel
- Highly unpredictable.
While beauty is something I would like to witness I dread long travels and unpredictability.
Confused is what I can describe my thoughts as.
I think I should keep Bangalore in Bangalore and look forward to the trip.
Or, may be I should get some sleep.
