Jawai is a beautiful place near Jodhpur. Apart from leopard spotting you can visit the Jawai dam. The dam looks magical. The place is clean and devoid of any pollution. The water is blue with mountains surrounding it.
The hills in the area is where the Leopards usually are. So when someone drives along the hills they constantly check them too see if they can spot any leopards. And you can indeed spot them right there. The hills have an orangish brown colour which is similar to the leopard’s colour. So you need to train your eye to spot them.
I visited the place both during the morning and evening. The colour of the water was changing based on the time of the day. The colour of the lake with shades of blue, turquoise and orange was just magical.
Sunset happens behind the hills and once the sun hides itself behind it glows from behind the hills. It leaves an orangish tinge all across the horizon. You can just sit there and get amazed in this natural colour dance that is occurring.
I could capture only a part of the beauty I was witnessing that evening. The water, sky and hills all were creating a magic together. I was just thankful that I could sit there and enjoy it.
