This is a OPMS series. And we will talk about a door in Chittorgarh fort.

Story – 1: Chittorgarh has seven doors to provide enough protection to the fort. Even if the enemy enters one door, they need to put effort to get to the next one.
Story – 2: This is the last of the seven doors. It has been broken only once.
Story – 3: This is not the original door. The original door was broken and taken by Akbar to Delhi.
Story – 4: The original door was made of Teak wood and an alloy of metals called Ashta Datu.
Story – 5: The bottom of the door has small circular ridges and the top have pointed metal jutting. This is because the door is usually broken open by Horses or Elephants. Horses use their leg and it will hurt them when they hit the circular ridges in the bottom. Elephants use their heads and the jutting spear type metal on the top will poke their head.
Story – 6: This strategy is used in many doors around the Mewar region.
Story – 7: To counter this it’s said that Allauddin Khilji used baby elephants.
Story – 8: The door taken from here was used by Akbar in the famous Bhulan Darwaza of Fatehpur Sikri.
