I was reading various blogs about Ahmedabad and in one blog they mentioned about a Heritage walk. The author of the blog has written that his perspective of Ahmedabad completely changed after the walk. That piqued my curiosity.
There are two heritage walks, one in the morning and one in the night both for around 2 hours. Each start from a different place. While one can book it before, if you just show up in that location at that time, you can join the walk.

I landed at 830am and was not able to join the morning walk (which starts at 730am). I planned to join the evening walk. It was from Sidi Saiyeed Mosque at 830pm. I tried calling the phone numbers specified on the website but no one answered. So I just went to the mosque at 830 pm.
No one was there and I repeatedly called the number on the website. No one answered. Then I pinged them on WhatsApp. After 30 mins I got a response they the walk for the day started at 7pm instead of 830pm. Apparently they randomly change the time and also random choose to pick up phone calls.
Somehow I was not very pissed by it as I was also tired by the end of the day. I went to “The green house” restaurant which apparently serves the best Thali in Ahmedabad (Agashiye). I sat for a good two hours, tasted various types of Dokhlas and soaked in the place after a long day of sight seeing. I would definitely recommend visiting the place once.

Bus to Bhuj at 1145pm. Bhuj, here we come.
