Airport avatars

The airport has always been an interesting place for me. It’s a place where people mostly dress up well, look relatively fresh (unlike a railway station or bus stand. Money spent on travel is directly proportional to the money and effort to look good.

The holiday season has started and there is bloody rush at the airport. Everyone wants to go. Just go. Just go somewhere.

Given I have nothing to do, and no one to talk to I start noticing things that I usually don’t notice.

A man argues with a another that he can break the security check line and go forward as he has no bags.

2 out of 7 people forget removing their belt before the security scan.

There are more people in the queue to the Airport lounge than the number of people in queue to security check.

It almost feels like the number of people who want to dunk food at 5am in the morning at the airport are more than the number of people who want to have a safe travel.

Almost everyone is a music lover here. People with their earphones and jumbo headphones that double up as ear muffs.

Babies hate air travel. They start crying right from the Airport boarding gate.

Off we go. Ahmedabad, here we come!
